Yuzu Koshu is a spicy, hot Japanese condiment. It is a rough paste, a bit like a finely chopped chutney with a citrus flavor. A specialty of the Kyushu region of Japan, the paste is made from yuzu zest, chile and salt. There are two kinds: Green Yuzu Koshu: made from green yuzu and green chile peppers Red Yuzu Koshu: made from yellow yuzu and red chili peppers.
Serving Suggestions: Yuzu Koshu is very versatile in the kitchen, that you can use it like a condiment for just about anything. We like it with chicken, beef and also shellfish.
